haha~ we went pondering if we should go to the Botanical Garden / West Coast Park. Though I feel like going to the Garden, we went to WCP in the end. haha~ Had lots of fun thr.. Sofia saw this tree which has very interesting 'fruits', it's actually a flower bud larhs. And she told me she want to pluck.. n asked me to help cover her. haha~ ya anyways, she got the 'fruit' after much effort, she was trying hard to pluck it out. haha.. shown a smiley face when she got it out finally. haha..v cute. so they went exploring the 'fruit'. Sofia and Sharon walk the bud to the sandy area and they began to sit down, they were trying to dig a hole in the sand, then when it is big enough, they bury the 'fruit' but before they cover it.
I heard their conversation.

Daddy was talking to the little girl.

Dad was sitting down at the end of the wooden balancing platform and this little indian girl said, "excuse me. Let me pass." haha. My dad is a humourous man and he likes to tease the kids, so he said " Sorry.. I'm drunk. " n he attempted to act like he's drunk. haha! The little girl said, " Huh...." and she jumped down without finishing the course. haha. lol v cute scene, shld have videoed it down. My mum and I went jogging 1 round ard the park and we left the park. ;)

Econs lecture was fun today! Time always flies when I'm havin Ting's lecture. haha partly cos Mr Ting kept us entertained w his nice jokes. I think I must learn the skill of telling jokes without laughing, he is so good in that. He's not only my Master of Econs, also my Master of Lameness. Telling jokes expressionless-ly, just spice up the jokes more. haha.. Alright.. I'm going to blog about his jokes here. It'd have been funnier if you sit in the lecture yourself and see him telling the jokes with his actions and facial expressions! really..

We were talking abt there's no viable substitutes for electricity, so suppliers can increase the price and he said,

Joke #1 "Maybe have lar. In the past people paddle the bicycle to generate electricity but it'll cost more for them. You know why? Cos they burnt more calories and need more good food to be better nutritioned. End up spending more on food.

Joke #2"Also for cars right, the demand for petrol is inelastic, it can be made elastic if people learn from flinstone. You know the flinstone car. Just take one cardboard, cut two holes, legs go in the holes and fix 2 pedals. Then they don't need cars and petrol"

Joke #3 "People in the past got no money for electricity, so they use candles as substitutes. But, Candles are not good, cos they're known for their romantic functions. Then you know people start to get romantic. You know the cost of raising a child right? Also end up spending more..."

Gambling and Doctors expertise are also inelastic in nature, because,

(you'll never see a patient bargainning to $30 000 and they ended up giving flowers instead to thank the doctors, even though they're overcharge.)

Hi Everyone! I learnt sth new today. Do you think you can only see S0000001/x on specimen IC/ advertisement? Before today.. I thought so too.. but.. this nice stream of numbers actually has its owner. Mr Ong told us that it belongs to the 1st President of Singapore, Mr Yusof Ishak And MM Lee has the no. S0000002/x and followed by the other presidents. =) sth new right?

haha.. For the whole morning Thiri and I were talking about spirits. She gave her hinduism beliefs and I contributed what I know from chinese culture too. So we shared.. This topic arise as she was telling us about a suicide scene at her block(we live in e same area but not exactly close), initially she heard a loud bang and least would she think tt its a suicide, just thought its just some fireworks for National Day Celebration. She went on to see the dead body when the investigators took picture of it. As from what she mentioned, the mouth was out of shape, one leg was twisted in a weird position and eyes were still open + she still has her handbag and a big shopping bag w/ her(just like she's back hme after shopping). Sounded scary huh...

So now.. this girl is worried that the spirit would recognise her and follow her home. When she told me tt, I told her this.. " haha you think she so free meh, stop scaring yourself larh.. but ah..Ya hor maybe she's in this lecture with us seating beside you, or maybe later when you go home you'll see her in the lift." The pt was tt I'm trying to let her know she's worrying unduly. Afterall, she's nt related to her at all, just happen to be staying on the same block.

We explored the possible ways tt could explain her death. Is it really suicide? Why would one commit suicide with her handbag and shopping bag everything, climbed over the corridor walls with so many things den jump down? oo Btw her a man tt seems to be like her boyfriend was present at the scene as well. n ya.. Thiri told me tt her shorts were unbuttoned. An explaination she offered to this was the force of the wind when she's "on her way down". But I think perhaps is cos the bf tried to rape her n tt she couldn't take the humiliation and she jumped down. or is it tt man who pushed her down? Given the above info tt I provided, what do you think? Shall wait for the news if it ever reports on tt.

Committing suicide is the stupidiest option in life... Don't you think so.. It takes courage to commit suicide, alot of courage .. but y not use it for sth else like facing the reality. Dying don't solve the problem, the problems stay and the world won't stop spinning just for you... Resorting to suicide will only give an undignified death. Afterall, we remember people for their contributions to the world, commendable spirit of sacrificing like Qu Yuan, or even small gestures of giving and caring, courageous people who sacrifice for the nation like Lim Bo Seng BUT not 'courageous' people who sacrifice for some 'unresolvable' problems defined by themselves.

And by saying tt, I don't mean I think/feel that she committed suicide. The cause is still unknown. It's just sme basic values that I feel is important in life, tt all humans should -Value Life!

Just 2 days back, a 41 deg cel fever suddenly attacked me. Was feeling so HOT and COLD at the same time, cos at tt time I had flu. When I sneeze, the tears coming out was HOT. tt was the first time I experienced hot tears. haha.. so it was really terrible. Went to the clinic, they gave me an injection and 4 diff types of medicine. lol! I'm feeling much betta now as compared to before.

I had 2 lessons yesterday so got no choice but to go. haha I learnt bout sth interesting yest during the Sociology class. Let me share with you. There's actually a difference between "I" and "Me" and we are always engaging in an "I" and "Me" conversation unknowingly.

"I" is what you feel and want to do. Say "I" want to steal.. but "Me" usually takes into account of what others will think/feel about you. So "Me" will tell you. No I can't.. People will look down on me if I steal. That's somehow, a natural force that will keep the society healthy.

"I" people are usually very strong mentally and will go all out to achieve what he/her wants. Such people are also most prone to go deviant ways cos they don't care what people/society thinks/ feels of them. However, these are usually the more creative individuals cos they love to express themselves. The "Me" people are usually more reserved, mind people' impression of them. In a way its good cos they are guided by societal values which are usually good, bad in a sense that it limits creativity and these are the more rigid people.

So are you a "I" or "Me" person?

Tang shared a true incident with us. One of his friends somewhere in his thirties married a 18 yr-old Vietnamese girl. He's rich but he kept the ceremony in a low profile and didn't inform his friends that he's married. A ceremony held at the coffee shop which shows just signing of the marriage documents.

Do you know why? Cos this is how he managed his spoiled identity. His marriage is just like a transaction between money and goods larhs!! omgomg.. which he knows people will respond negatively. He actually bought a wife and he told Tang that he got his wife at a sale 20% discount. OMG. yes! tt's what happens to the poor girls, they're being sold instead. Mr Tang said, "this girls actually have an expiry date as the agency have to keep a fresh supply..." You will pity them but to them it's already a blessing that they don't get sent back!Hmm..

I'm joining Mus'Art. It's a community band and they're really good, very frequent outdoor performances. =) Hopefully I pass the auditions. =) and I've to start worrying abt which aspect to give up if I can't juggle them well. lol.. Shall leave the "readjusting of priorities" to the later part.

It's Singapore's Bday today! lalala~ Keep the flag flying high! Woohoo~ I can't wait to watch the National Day Rally 2007!! =)

I told myself I have to stop buying clothes..cos my cupboard is already v full. but but.. when I walk to PS. I saw this nicely tented spot. haha It's the branded warehouse sale.. I thought I'll only be window-shopping but.. I ended up buying 2 tops. -.- haha.. Bought 1 abercrombie T I love tt and another blue n white horizontal stripped Polo T. After shopping, I smsed Evelyn to infm her thr's a sale for A&F . haha.. donno if she went.

today.. both the modem and the line man came AGAIN! haha. Mum said," They are the 5th and 6th men tt come to our hse becos of our internet already." haha. They're working together to troubleshoot the problem w my internet. I got some v interesting pics of em..(posting em up soon) Dad told them tt he's going to claim all e losses if the problem still persists after we change the modem. He even wrote on the piece of paper and ask em to acknowledge. lol..I think the 2 men were a little shocked cos they're faces change. hahaha~

Had a bad night.. I can't sleep w/ blocked nose. I ended up taking the time for clearing my blocked nose. I tried to breathe using my mouth but after some time, my throat feels dry.. I woke up even before the alarm rings (which is so untypical of me).. I just feel like I haven been sleeping.

Zipped up my jacket even before I stepped out of the house. I 'm still feeling cold in the bus. Cold in the LT. Used up my own tissue papers, have to resort to toilet papers which is rough even to cause "peeling of skin". I guessed the LT heard my "clearing noses" noises. Sorry I can't help it. I was already controlling by not breathing from my nose, haha and 1/2 of the time, I'm using my mouth to breathe and let the nose stay Blocked. Terrible terrible. Anyways.. Econs was fun today! Mr Ting looked q weird when he came in the LT. He looks like a predator surveying its surroundings. Oops.. haha but I guessed it's a appropriate description from me of him. REally.. =)

I took up a huge space all to my own in the LT. Able to do tt partly because sat classes are small. Like Duh~ who in the right mind wants to attend class on Sats.. Just tt I'm left w no other slots. haha.. To be frank, I actually like to seat alone in lectures and have a big space all to my own. Need not feel restrictive and I've ample of moving space. =D

Hi Everyone!! The 2nd day of school is over! lol~ today was a long day.. 830-1130 class and then I spent my time in the library until I forgot about the time!! And when I realised its time for lesson, I packed my things and proceed to the LT. Then I heard my stomach rumbling.. n I realised that I'm hungry. On the way to the LT, I bought roller coaster(cheese) from the vending machine and "gobble" it! lol.

Anyways.. My afternoon sociology lesson wasn't that bad, though the lecturer was abit nerdy(nt tt time of look tt I'll expect cos his name sounds q class) but anyways.. he's very knowledgeable and can really teach. =) He always says, " umm.. " Throughout the first hr of lesson, my stomach was rumbling.. I was looking forward to the break time cos that's when snacks and coffee n tea are provided foc to every LT every class. haha not bad nt bad.. =D Gd system SIM has there. Anyways.. sociologists always "make the familiar strange" lol.. tt's sociology!

So far, every of my lecturer has a unique style.. Mr Nageb, my Intro to Biz n Management lecturer tt always like to question the students and pick us to ans his questions. He is a funny man tt calls the gals "sweetie/lovely/dear.." and likes to say "What a shame..." His lesson never fails to amaze me. I sort of like him( nt in tt sense). =) He'll definitely be on the list of my favourite lecturers.

Mdm Meena, my Maths1 lecturer speaks w abit of a tamil slang. Today she was mentioning abt logarithm and was saying " a to the power of + b to the power of + c to the power of.." so quickly that I heard them as " emporium.. emporium.." haha! I found it very funny. and when my new friend veronica highlighted that I couldn't stop laughing(discreetly of course). n I hafta control myself by looking down and not at Mdm Meena. hahaha! I think she's from India.. think only lar..

I'll blog about my stats and econs lecturers', haven had their lessons yet. =) I heard from Eve that the econs lecturer is q alright.. Better than Mr Potato! lol~ of cos betta lar! If not I'll quit sch man..
